Job responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, designing secure, scalable systems aligned with Balance Billing regulations, the No Surprises Act (NSA), and the Independent Dispute Resolution (IDR) process.
- Implement and promote cybersecurity best practices, including secure coding standards, vulnerability management, and HIPAA compliance, while actively contributing to coding, debugging, and code reviews to ensure high-quality standards.
- Plan, prioritize, and execute on project timelines to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business goals, leveraging expertise in negotiating complex claims and managing medical billing workflows.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process, testing, and deployment methodologies (e.g., CI/CD), to enhance team productivity and software quality, while collaborating with cybersecurity teams to assess and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
- Participate in code reviews and conduct security audits, incorporating practices like penetration testing, static and dynamic code analysis, and vulnerability scanning.
- Integrate cybersecurity into the software development lifecycle, ensuring secure coding practices and timely security updates. Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT teams to respond to security incidents, participating in root cause analysis and remediation.
- Ensure software development and data handling processes comply with industry security standards and regulations and support efficient billing dispute resolution.
- Promote security awareness within the engineering team through training sessions,
workshops, and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Applicant must have at least a Bachelor Degree in Cybersecurity Studies or Network Administration.
- Three (3) years of experience working as a Software Engineer for medical billing industry launching transparency healthcare platform.
- Experiences in technical skills such as: Zoho Cloud Software Suites, Twilio Customization, AWS, Wireshark and Snort, Deluge, API Development, SFTP Setup, MATLAB, Jupyter, Zoho Analytics and Tableau.
- Expertise with medical billing.
- Position supervise subordinates.
40 hours per week, M-F, 9 am – 5 pm. Must have proof of legal authority to work in the United States.
